12. ChatGPT and AI connector (MCP)
If you use Match with Care through a ChatGPT connector (Model Context Protocol, or “MCP”, server) linked to our public tools:
- OpenAI / ChatGPT processes your conversation on their systems. When you ask for carers, jobs, or FAQs, tool calls may include parameters you provide (for example a postcode, place name, search radius, care-type filters, or topic keywords).
- Our MCP server (operated by us or our hosting provider) receives those tool requests and, in response, makes HTTPS requests to our public Match with Care APIs (read-only listing and FAQ endpoints). It does not require you to log in to Match with Care for those calls.
- The MCP server is designed for stateless request/response handling and does not add its own user account database for connector traffic. Standard web server and hosting logs may apply (for example access logs). Always read OpenAI’s privacy policy for how they process chat and tool data.
