Full time live-in dementia carer in South Gloucestershire

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate female live-in carer to support a gentleman with fairly late-stage dementia in the South Gloucestershire area. The client is currently residing in a respite home and will be transitioning back to his own home, where dedicated live-in care will be provided on an ongoing basis.

About the Client and Care Needs:

The care recipient is a gentleman living with advanced dementia who requires consistent, patient, and attentive support throughout the day. While he retains generally good mobility, he does need some physical assistance and benefits greatly from gentle guidance and encouragement to carry out everyday tasks. He is able to participate in activities when given the right level of support, so a carer who can promote independence while ensuring safety will be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dementia care – Providing person-centred dementia support, maintaining familiar routines, and using calm, reassuring communication to minimise confusion and distress.
• Personal care – Assisting with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting needs with dignity and respect.
