
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced full-time live-in carer to join our team in Southampton. This role involves providing comprehensive 24/7 care for a client who requires assistance following a fall, with limited mobility and potential early signs of dementia.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming • Assist with mobility, including transfers and use of mobility aids • Manage medication schedule and provide reminders • Offer toileting assistance, including use of commode and incontinence support • Provide night-time support as needed • Collaborate with another live-in carer to ensure round-the-clock care
Care Needs: The client requires support with various daily activities due to limited mobility. This includes assistance with personal care, toileting, and movement around the home. The carer will need to help with using the commode and bathroom, changing bed pads, and managing incontinence needs. Medication management is crucial, ensuring the client takes the right medications at the correct times.
Schedule and Hours: This is a full-time, live-in position with 24/7 care required. You will work alongside another live-in carer, allowing for adequate rest periods and ensuring continuous care for the client.
Requirements: • Previous experience in live-in care, particularly with clients with limited mobility • Understanding of dementia care principles • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team • Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers • Compassionate nature and patience • Ability to maintain a professional yet caring approach
